Customer Buzz
I just bought this vacuum a couple weeks ago and so far I am very pleased with it. We were surprised to see just how small it really is. We live in a small house (1300 sq ft) and have a big newf, 2 cats, and a bird that loves to toss his food on the floor. The whole house has hard floors, laminate and tile. On the lowest setting, this vac has the power to clean the floor effortlessly. Max power is just overkill. This is a new model made to work with hard floor or low carpet. No problem with rugs either, just step on the button on the business end and the brushes retract. It is really clever. It even has 2 slots to stand up the wand so you dont have to lay it on the floor. The best thing about it is the noise factor. I used it the other night to vacuum on 50% power and talked on the phone the whole time. It just sounds like a fan. Amazing! Here is the list of pros and cons;

Pros
Extremely quiet
Very compact
Very light
Well built
Useful accessories
Turbobrush is great for hard floor and rugs
Casters are rubber coated and roll smooth
Wand is steel and retractable
Retractable cord

Cons
Only 1, the cord needs to be about 10 longer. I understand why its short though, due to the small frame size there isnt alot of room for a long

Customer Buzz
Are you tired of rice that is sometimes great and sometimes only so-so? Do you put your rice on high and forget to turn it down until you smell it burning? Well, this rice cooker will solve those problems forever! It's so easy, and the rice, whether brown or white, is perfect every time. All you need is a few stir-fry recipes and you can enjoy quick, easy, and nutritious meals. It's so easy to clean - no more scrubbing those scorched pans or stove tops! I can't say enough about this product.

Customer Buzz
We had the same cooker while living in Japan. The only difference we have seen between the Japanese version and this one is that the writing is now in English...works exactly the same. Recommend using the cooker with California rice (ex: Nishiki or Hinode) for best results. Great value if you are serious about rice...

Customer Buzz
We were a little hesitant to buy this rice cooker because of the price. We eat a decent amount of rice, but not for every meal and not every day. Still, I thought it would be nice to try one with the induction heating, and we liked the Zojirushi website.

Needless to say, I never knew rice could be this good :D Every type of rice was amazing. Sushi rice was excellent. It spread on the nori very easily for making sushi. Oh, and the GABA brown rice was soo good it made a boring vegetable soup taste great!

If you definitely do not want to spend this much on a rice cooker, there are other options, but if you're not sure, I say take the leap! We almost didn't buy this one, but are now VERY glad we did. We originally thought the quality wasn't going to be that much different, but it absolutely IS!

Customer Buzz
I LOVE this machine! I originally purchased it just to cook Steele Cut Oats (do not soak them overnight). A friend had cooked some in her rice cooker and WOW, they puff up. Totally different than when cooked on the stove. I found I finally can eat oats and really like them. The rice that comes out is amazing too. You can taste each individual grain. And the keep warm option works a long time (so far 12 hrs.)and keeps the rice moist. I haven't tried any other recipes yet. But I'm sure I will like the way they turn out. The tune it plays is a little corny, but them machine turns out most magnificant rice.

Customer Buzz
April 8th, 2009. I literally use this product everyday. I've owned it now for a little over 30 days and I love it! The timer feature is great. Easy to clean, and perfect rice and steal cut oatmeal every time. This was money well spent!

Customer Buzz
After almost every day, but gentle use for 15 months, it just stopped working. If you think 15 months are long enough, you may go ahead on your risk. For me, it was not worth the expensive price. Cooking itself was a O.K., but not much better than other rice cookers I have used before.

Customer Buzz
Life has gotten so much better with a good rice cooker. It makes amazing sushi rice. I especially love the GABA brown rice setting. It makes really good polenta (on the porridge setting). I highly recommend this.

Customer Buzz
Although expensive, it was all that I expected. I had a simpler Zojirushi rice cooker before this, and this one is way better. I think the induction heating does the trick, absolutely no burning or even tanning of the rice on the bottom, and much easier to clean.

Works fine for even 1/2 cup of dry rice (using the cup that came with it, which is smaller than a regular cup). It is smaller than it looks in the pictures, at least for my eye.

Customer Buzz
Had to buy another one, the first one only lasted a year! Hopefully this one lasts longer, or I will have to try a different brand.

Customer Buzz
I have owned at least 4 rice cookers since 1982. The first was a cheap thing that got as a wedding present. It died. The second two were were passed on to children who flew the coop. The most recent one was a less expensive Zojirushi with the same capacity but not with the same design. This rice cooker is the best rice cooker I have ever used. The pot is thick and distributes heat well. The rice is just the way I like it and it holds the rice overnight without drying it out so that my daughter can take rice with her lunch. It was worth every single hard earned penny to get this one.

coleman 9949-750 road trip grill, red

Buy coleman 9949 750 Roadtrip LXE for sale & Best Price!!!

Product Description

It's even easier to transport, and quicker and easier to set up at a tailgate party, campsite or any other location where fun, food and friends get together. Like the original RoadTrip Grill, the LXE features authentic open flame grilling, two powerful burners that are fully adjustable, electronic ignition and uncommon cooking versatility thanks to mix-and-match cooking surface options. However, a cleverly designed new stand distinguishes the LXE model from its predecessor. The X-shaped chassis is wheeled for easy maneuvering in both the upright and collapsed-for-transport positions. It sets up quickly and provides excellent stability for cooking, thanks to the simplicity of the scissor-like leg and frame design. Two side tables integrated into the unit slide out for grilling and cooking duties, then retract under the unit in a moment's motion for travel and storage. Because the grill is affixed to the stand and the lid features a locking mechanism, the unit is secure and steady while towing it to and from a vehicle using a convenient pull handle. The coleman Roadtrip Grill LXE is designed to be used completely assembled. If table top use is desired - simply hand remove the 4 plastic cap screws and start cooking! The Roadtrip Grill LXE is easy to assemble - Push on wheels and insert plastic handle and it is ready to use! New tool holders and stainless steel carry handles added for convenience. The LXE fits into most auto trunks/SUV's.

Customer Buzz
This little grill fired up right out the box. Easy assembly. Uses a small gas canister-$2.95 at Home Depot. Have cooked three meals with first gas can with some left over. Ideal for small spaces and e-z to move and store. You don't have go camping to use this-enough room for a meal for 4.

Customer Buzz
I had an older version of the road trip that lasted for many outing with numerous rebuilds of components. It was a great grill but it finally got impractical to replace the parts. I picked up a new one in the LXE model. What a mistake. Not only is this thing ridiculously overcomplicated but it is dangerous. Cheap wheels to move it around(as opposed to the older lighter model that you simply moved), slide out shelves- whatever. Coleman took a simple and very useful grill and tuned it into this pimped out mess.

But the worst part is mine was dangerous. The tubing did not extent far enough into the burner orifice and the result is leaking propane. Makes for a cute flame coming out the front of the grill and that wonderful 4th of July sound when the extra gas build up. This is a problem identified in earlier reviews. Given that many people are happy with their grill and have no problems this becomes a case study in poor quality control. Gee the same Chinese that gave us lead toys- what a surprise.

My suggestion is that you can do far better for the money unless you get lucky and get one that works. But then some people look OK with no eyebrows so you may want to take a chance.

Customer Buzz
I am a died in the wool griller and Weber guy. We currently have three grills around the house; a horizontal smoker/charcoal grill, a Weber gas Silver C gas grill (10 years old, the best!!) and the Coleman Roadtrip. I bought this grill because I get stuck doing the cooking at other friends and relatives and always had to load up the Weber. This Roadtrip is the cat's meow for this type of grilling road show.

I was going to get a Weber Q but it doesn't have the cart, at least not at a sub $200 pricepoint. This grill does the job and then some. I used the grill five times in the last two weeks, trying different approaches and methods, and have come up with a few tips and tricks to make the grill work it's best. Please note that this grill is one of the best I have ever used and certainly better than the majority of gas grills I have used. It's no Weber, but then, it ain't 500 bucks either. So, on with the tips.

1. The burner has a "low" to "high" settings. The high settings are ONLY and I mean ONLY for using the burner attachment or griddle attachment. There is no need to use 20,000BTU's of heat on a grill this small. These guys that are melting handles and such are also ruining food with entirely too much heat. They ought to put this in the book, but they don't. So you read it hear first, been grilling for over 25 years, do NOT use the high setting for grilling...PERIOD! Think about it...my Weber, which is almost twice as big and has enough clearance built into the cover for a turkey or upright chicken, only has 40,000BTU. So 20,000 for a grill with a three inch clearance cover and burners less than an inch away from the food is way too much. NO HIGH!!! PERIOD...there, now I feel better.

2. Properly preheat the grill. Fire up the grill, set it to "MED", no higher (READ # 1!!!), close the cover, and let it run for 10 minutes. This will get the grates properly heated as well as everything else. This will allow for even heat for cooking.

NOTE: The cover for this grill (I am referring to the lid that covers the grill during cooking) is durable as long as you (say it with me, folks!) DON'T USE THE HIGH SETTING FOR GRILLING!! Now given that, even on the lowest of heat setting the lid will "warp" when heated. I would bet that even a good dose of sunlight would do this. It's no worries, but it does cause a potential issue. This happens to most grills but it's so little you never notice it. But on this grill, the lid lock pin slides down into a slot that only has about a 1/16" clearance. The cover then heats up, moving the lock very VERY slightly but just enough, causing the grill not to open easily because of the pin catching on the slot. TO avoid this, after unlocking and opening the grill cover, just turn the lever to the "lock" position prior to preheating. ADVANCED FIX: I think utilizing a bit of backyard engineering IE tinsnips to open up the slot for more clearance while still being able to lock the lid may do the trick. IN the interim, just flipping to lock will still allow the lid to close, but the lock pin won't slide into the slot. As far as the highly reported melting lid handle, I have made attempts to get the handle hot enough to melt with the grill on medium and have determined that it simply won't happen. No concern, as long as you FOLLOW RULE#1!!

3. Once preheated, do what you would do with a normal gas grill heat control utilizing the "Coleman Roadtrip Medium" setting as "HIGH." Most folks go to Medium on a gas grill, so that would be half way between MED and LOW on this grill. Make sense? Good. I usually cook a tick above halfway.

4. Now just use like a normal gas grill, keeping the cover closed at all times. I will state that even at these supposedly low heat settings, this grill does cook faster than my big Weber, so keep an eye out the first few times you use it.

5. Foil for cleanup of the drip pan? I don't like that idea. The shiny drip pan cleans up so easily it's not required. Also, there is a problem if the foil is wrinkled at all you won't have proper draining of the grease, resulting in flair up and fire. I use hot, soapy water and let the excess water go to the drip pan. It cleanse up very easily.

That's all I got. If you follow my rules, you will love this grill.

Customer Buzz
Compact. Ease of transport. Large cooking surface. Cleanup is a breeze. Ideal BBQ grill for tailgating fun.

Customer Buzz
We just used our Road Trip grill this weekend, it worked great! A surprising amount of grill space, very portable, just what we were looking for....can't wait to go camping!

Customer Buzz
Delivered as promised. Very easy to assemble. Worked first time out of the box in minutes. Those with other table top models took hours to set up after purchase. AND it is in beautiful BADGER RED! Perfect for UW tailgating (both football and crew events!) Easy to transport to different venues!

Customer Buzz
I've had it for 12 days and used it 10 of those days. I love this grill!
I love that the grill is divided into 2 removable halves. I tend to grill only a few things on any given day and use 1 half of the grill, leaving the other side for the next day. Of course you can fire up both burners and fill it up. It would hold 8-10 burgers easily.

my grill had NO warning sticker/placard about not cooking with the lid down (plastic handle will melt?) But based on other reviews I've read, I haven't tried. I can see how the plastic handle could melt.

I've never had to cook on anything other than low and sometimes turned it to just below LOW. The grill sits only a couple of inches above the burners so it heats fast. I use an instant read meat thermometer and have turned out perfect chicken and burgers.

The enameled cast iron grill surfaces are NOT non stick, so pre-spray them with pam or a similar spray prior to lighting the grill. I put the grill halves right into the dishwasher, spray them with DAWN power dissolver and they come out super clean. I LOVE that they fit in the dishwasher!

DO LINE THE BOTTOM OF THE GRILL WITH FOIL to make clean up inside the grill easy. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO PULL OUT THE PLASTIC SIDE TRAYS BEFORE LIGHTING THE GRILL.

Assembly was easy. Put the wheels on with the provided wrench, snap on the wheel hub covers. took maybe 10 minutes.

I'm STILL using my first small bottle of propane after 10 uses (cooking on low). I wish it had a natural gas converson kit because I have a hookup on my patio. :( I'll probably upgrade to larger propane tank at some point, but for portability you can't beat the small propane tanks

Customer Buzz
We purchased the Coleman 9949-750 road trip grill because we were looking for a larger grill for camping. The grill is great on space and the side pull out trays very handy. We were able to cook burgers and dogs for 8 with plenty of room. It is nice that we can bring it to other campsites and we have actually used it at our house too. We have not cooked with the grill cover all the way down due to other reviews we read stating that the handle has melted so we just prop it up a little and have had no issues. We got an adapter and have hooked it up to a larger propane bottle instead of having to buy lots of small bottles. We bought the "full size" griddle to go along with it and are looking to get the burner adapter too. This grill is great!

Customer Buzz
After researching for a new tailgating grill, I came down to the RoadTrip LXE or the Weber Q200. The Weber's stand seemed flimsy and the cast lid on the display model was cracked, so I went for the RoadTrip.

After unpacking the RoadTrip, I noticed the one leg was missing some paint (slightly oversprayed, but definitely missing another pass). Next the lid latch would not align requiring some force to push the lid back to lock it. The lock mechanism is not very heavy duty to begin with. So I set out to do what it was designed to do, fold it up to roll, and SLAM, the cooking grates start moving around and the side tray on the bottom doesn't stay in place. Not to mention I should have noticed prior to buying, but at 50 lbs, this is not very portable by nature.

Returning to the Internet, I found that I was not alone on the quality issues (even some people reporting fires!). I also learned that the lid should not be closed while grilling. So any cedar plank grilling is out of the question! However, I was lucky enough to discover some recommendations for the Freedom Grill FG-50 $299 (with cover). The Coleman LXE $179 + case $39 were immediately returned.

Now the Jeep doesn't smell like grilling for days after the tailgate plus I don't have to worry about anything being too hot or dripping out during transit. Also when tailgating in grass fields, I don't have to find level ground for the grill or carry shims for it. Yes, a bit more expensive, but well worth it.
