I purchased this grill mostly for use at tailgating. Used it once so far. Heats up quickly and is easy to use. While it works well, it is rather large and heavy.
This grill was great the first year I used it. It IS NOT a good grill to use if you want to take it camping. It is very heavy, hard to store, propane now leaks from the control knob, very difficult to move around and fell apart after the first year. If you want a grill to leave on your deck, then this MIGHT be ok. If you need a grill to travel with, then this is not the grill to get.
I am now in the process of getting a Weber after two years use of the Grill-2 Go.
We have already used this grill twice for tailgating. It is fantastic! Cleans up so easily in the dishwasher.

Best tailgating grill ever - totally kills the coleman line of grills...
Before I purchased this grill I was looking for the Char-Broil Fire & Ice Grill (the one with the cooler below); however they have discontinued it for some weird reason. So I researched this one for my tailgate and decided to give it a try. I normally use charcoal however it is such a mess and the smoke blows over into others tailgates which is a little rude.
PROS: Great portable grill; love the side tables; 16 oz propane tank lasted hours (which is very nice); cute little extras like a flag and extra propane tank holder, a holder for paper towels and a holder for the propane tank in use; LED lights are a nice touch; very light considering how large this grill is; has a Non-Stick Teflon coated griddle (good for breakfast items); has a grease collector under the grill; has an ignitior, very easy to setup and start cooking
CONS: You have to assemble this grill out of the box (takes about an hour) and this was disappointing;
MOST DISAPPOINTING FEATURE...you cannot just extend the legs of the base and start grilling, you must take the grill off, extend the legs and set the grill on top of the base, this again applies if you want to collapse the grill, you must take the grill off the base collapse the legs and place the grill back on top; does not have a propane gauge letting you know how much gas is left; make sure it is on a level surface, we tried to make scrambled eggs and they ran off the griddle down to the bottom of the grill
Overall if you can catch this grill on sale it is worth the money (purchased mine for around $160 on Amazon). I still believe a $200 grill should have some extra features like a propane gauge, and the grill should be able to setup without taking it on and off the base.
***PS:Thermos sells a carrying bag for the Grill 2 Go; however it does NOT fit this model. You can fit the grill but not the legs. Returned the carrying bag to Amazon and had my $40 refunded.***
I love this product. Very light weight and portable and lots of functionality. I've bought a Camp Chef grill which was very heavy and bulky and this is a nice replacement.
Years ago I purchased the original Grill 2 Go for my husband. At the time we owned a 27' Regal boat and football fans as well, so I thought it would be a fantastic portable grill for both. We weren't disappointed! We wore this grill out! In saying that I went to purchase a new one for my husbands B-day this year, only to find out that you can no longer purchase the original Grill 2 go, but it is now the Advantage Grill 2 Go. I was very excited, as I thought how could anything get better than what we had, but gladly ordered it and waited in anticipation for it's arrival. The grill arrived in a timely manor and without any damage. My husband is using it, but I would have to say we are disappointed in it. The old saying of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" definitely applies here! The new grill is bigger/bulkier and heavier. Definitely not as self contained as the original. Much more work to maneuver as far as portability! The original Grill 2 Go had a self contained grease collection, where as the new grill is really a mess with the tray if you don't hold it level and just right when removing it to empty. The base is not as solid, actually seems very flemsy to support the weight of this larger grill! We are using it, as the other was worn out, but we do miss the portability and self containment of the original as well as the fact that you got a nice utensil set w/the original. Cleaning of the new is just as easy as the original, enabling you to put most of the key parts in the dishwasher, which is great! Overall it's not a bad product, it's just that the original was perfect....just the way it was!
The grill is awesome and the size is impressive. The only down side is the light is kind of a pain.
We bought this grill to be placed in a hunting cabin located in the mountains of VA. The grill folds up nicly for storage inside. The nonstick cooking surfaces work very well. We use it for every meal.
I just bought this grill for use camping and tailgating. Set-up and break-down takes only a few minutes. It is super easy to clean and works great! All the pieces that get dirty remove easily and can be cleaned in a dishwasher. After the initial assembly, which took about an hour, the grill sets up in about two minutes. Breakdown of the grill is equally easy. There is plenty of grill space for cooking and the griddle is a great attachment. There is counter space on both sides of the grill. This grill is a great addition for anyone who wants a camping/tailgating grill.
